Hi! As a Slay the Spire fan, I played this game carefully, and it was honestly really good! The mix with Dicey mechanics was super fun! For something made in Ren’Py, it’s seriously impressive.
Though there are a few issues I have to mention:
Why are only the text parts of the buttons clickable? The frames look purely decorative, it feels like this could be fixed pretty easily.
Some texts are way too small and hard to read, especially on mobile.
Everything feels a bit too stiff, I think adding some effects and animations would make a big difference.
That’s all, but honestly, the characters are very appealing and the project feels ambitious! I’m really excited to see where it goes!!
Thank you very much for the feedback, I super appreciate it, friend!
And I must admit, polishing a lot of aspects from the interface wasn't my biggest priority, but I see how that could detract from the experience. As for effects and animations, these are the trickier parts of working with Ren'Py, but they're already in my list of things to improve about the game.
Though, it makes me beyond happy to hear that conceptually my game works and is fun. I'll try and improve whereverI can and fix things for the next version of it <3
And for clarification, could you speficy what texts are too small on mobile? I've been testing this game exclusively on a desktop setting P;
Sorry, I thought there is an android version too. Otherwise I also tested it on PC, but the small texts look really bad, for example the result of playing a card has no background, It gets lost in the background. If you want to port it to android in future, nothing will be visible at all.
Also, the card descriptions are too long, which makes the text small and harder to understand. It would be great if you could simplify the descriptions like in Dicey, and make each one a single line so it's easier to grasp.
I hope I didn’t complain too much, sorry, and good luck!
Thank you very much! Could you tell me more about this crash? Did any errors show up or did the game just close? Do you remember if you right-clicked any specific thing?
Of course! I'm always very happy to see any furry game with big ambition. Not that VNs are easy or aren't impressive - but you understand what I mean.
I also just generally love your art, it has a very particular effortlessly grounded quality - characters you draw seem very real and "touchable" without even having to be realistically shaded or anything.
Could you elaborate on the crashes? Does the game raises any errors, or does it just closes? Any information you can give on this would be incredibly helpful!

And I don’t know, is it just me, or does this look like the face of a certain Austrian painter? Lol

Ok I love the combat, very interesting keep at it! It crashed when I right-clicked before a run

Yes! This is what showed up, I can't remember exactly where I right cliked (It was in the browser version and I use Opera if that helps)
Very exited to see where this goes!
Thank you very much!

Wow, thank you! That's very flattering to hear. I'm glad you enjoy my art that much, even at this basic sketch level x3
It's no problem - I only say what I feel.
Crashes a lot during battles, but the concept is very cool! I'll come back to it when it is more stable

Shoot, I probably should have saved those error messages that popped up.
It exclusively happened whenever I was in battle and clicked on enemy or ally portraits wrong somehow.
It looks cute
Thank you!
